Abstract:This paper reviews recent advances in experiment-based inverse/identification method. In particular, the technical scheme of experiment-based inverse/identification and its application to study on material mechanics properties are introduced. Firstly, the scheme and corresponding key technicas of experiment-based inverse/identification method are proposed, and the merits and limitations of some optimization methods are presented. Then, the application of this method in interfacial damage and failure of metal matrix composite and experimental characterization on time-dependent interfacial mechanics model of adhesive structrue are discussed in detail. Meanwhile, recent advances in some material mechanics properties by inverse/identification method are presented. Finally, from the results obtained, the advantages in solving problems of mechanics properties characterization with this method are demonstrated, and several future research topics are outlined.
