Some new progresses on the research of creep and fatigue behaviors of high temperature structural materials |

Abstract For the hot components suffering elevated temperature and loading conditions, creep and fatigue act as the decisive factors in controlling its service life. They’ve been the critical issues in the field of strength of high temperature structures, which has drawn increasing attention of researchers in recent years. In this paper, advances on the creep and fatigue studies of actual high temperature structures and materials have been summarized from mechanical viewpoint, including the failure mechanisms, damage evaluation, life prediction and so on. Further, some new fruits achieved by our group in the field of creep and fatigue at high temperatures are introduced. Finally, we present further directions in this research field that need to be extended in future work.
